POSITION: PROJECT QUALITY ASSURANCE MANAGER
PROJECT: KOGAN CREEK SOLAR BOOST PROJECT
REPORTS TO: SITE CONSTRUCTION MANAGER
DIRECT REPORTS: NIL
LOCATION: KOGAN CREEK SOLAR BOOST SITE
POSITION PURPOSE
The role of the Project Quality Assurance Manager is to ensure that the project scope is delivered in accordance with the Client’s quality requirements, the ISO9001 Quality management System for the project and that the craft and skill requirements for the project are met. This implies that the Project Quality Assurance ENVIRONMENTAL Manager needs to ensure that the subcontract quality systems, processes and procedures all meet the requirements of the Project
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
• Develop and implement the Project Quality Plan and system and ensure that the system meets the needs of the client.
• Liaise with consultants, the client and subcontractor representatives to ensure that an integrated approach to Quality is adopted on the project
• In accordance with the Project Quality system, liaise with the client to ensure that all systems meet the needs and approval of the Client and also comply with Areva Group Corporate policies.
• Review all subcontractor Quality Management systems to ensure that they are in compliance with KCSB Project EH&S management systems, client requirements and Areva Group Corporate requirements.
• Undertake and resource all essential activities under the Quality management plans and systems to ensure that all required ITP’s are in place, trade skills minimum standards are met, and all required testing is undertaken.
• Undertake audits and provide reports, manage the CAR, RCA and follow up systems, project continuous improvement program and act as the project’s liaison with external audit and certification authorities
• Devise, implement and monitor the Project Quality KPI’s, both lagging and leading, and report these internally and externally as required.
• Liaise with internal Vendor Quality Representatives to ensure that supplier quality meets the needs of the project.
• Act as a mentor to the TFA’s to assist in the monitoring of subcontractor site quality and work with the Manager TFA’s to ensure that subcontractor quality control requirements are met.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
• Formal qualifications in a relevant technical discipline to bachelor degree level (or equivalent).
• Appropriate short courses in Quality management, auditing and contractor quality management.
• Construction site quality experience is essential as well as exposure to the Australian industrial relations environment.
• Medium level experience and skill with MS Office software such as Excel and MS Word.
• Strong written, verbal and presentation communication skills.
